Ζωγραφίσα τοπία του μαγευτικού χωριού Grez-sur-Loing, μόλις μία ώρα νότια από το Παρίσι, κλείνοντας φέτος 13 χρόνια από την πρώτη μου επίσκεψη, το 2012, για την πρώτη μου έκθεση στην παρισινή γκαλερί Rivoli 59.
Από τότε, κάθε χρόνο επισκέπτομαι αυτό το μαγικό μέρος, κυρίως συμμετέχοντας – όπως και φέτος – στο άνοιγμα των εργαστηρίων των καλλιτεχνών που ζουν εκεί. Είναι πολλοί για ένα τόσο μικρό χωριό. Στο φετινό άνοιγμα των εργαστηρίων, στις 4 και 5 Οκτωβρίου 2025, συμμετέχουν και αρκετοί φιλοξενούμενοι, όπως εγώ.
Το Grez-sur-Loing έχει μεγάλη καλλιτεχνική παράδοση. Πολλοί ζωγράφοι εγκατέλειψαν το Παρίσι και βρήκαν καταφύγιο στο υπέροχο τοπίο του. Το ίδιο το όνομα σημαίνει «Grez δίπλα στον ποταμό», για να ξεχωρίζει από το άλλο χωριό με το ίδιο όνομα.
Εκεί φιλοξενείται επίσης μία ακαδημία, επιχορηγούμενη από το σουηδικό κράτος, που προσκαλεί και φιλοξενεί ζωγράφους για εξάμηνη διαμονή.
Μια οφειλόμενη τιμή σε αυτόν τον τόπο είναι η νέα σειρά έργων μου, η οποία θα παρουσιαστεί στη διοργάνωση Grez Art, στις 4 και 5 Οκτωβρίου 2025, στον χώρο Early Grez, 132 rue Wilson, Grez-sur-Loing, France, 77880.
