Mon Grez sur loing (My Grez-sur-Loing)

Thirteen years after my first visit to the enchanting Grez-sur-Loing, I return with a new body of work – a visual tribute to the place that welcomed me, embraced me, and supported me.
My first exhibition in Paris was in 2012, at Rivoli 59 gallery. This was followed by exhibitions at Melkert Galerie and twice at Galerie Desmos, completing a fertile – but now, I believe, finished – cycle in the capital.

Paris has given way to a landscape that feels more human, quieter, more authentic – closer to the scale of human life. Grez-sur-Loing – “Grez by the river” – with its cobbled streets and rich artistic tradition, has been and continues to be a place of creation for countless artists. Every year, as part of the European Heritage Days, the studios open their doors under the organization Grez Arts (grezarts.com).

This year, on October 4–5, 2025, I am taking part in this celebration as a guest at Sophie Batsis’ Early Grez, presenting a new series of works inspired by the light, tranquility, and memory of this place.
